How to change radiator

2023-01-20

The car radiator is an important cooling component that helps to circulate the coolant in the engine. An overheated engine can cause several problems, including serious damage to the vehicle's mechanics. Your car could break down, which could lead to some major accidents. A car radiator can protect your vehicle from all of these conditions. It must be maintained regularly to keep your vehicle running smoothly for a long time. If the car radiator fails and cannot be used, it needs to be replaced with a new radiator. So, how do you replace a car radiator?

How to change radiator

The replacement method of the car radiator is as follows:

1. Determine if the engine and radiator are cool. Drain the coolant from the radiator;

2. Remove the upper and lower hoses of the radiator. If there is a pipe to the transmission cooling unit, disconnect it;

3. Disconnect the circuit connection of the radiator cooling fan. Remove the upper radiator bracket;

4. Carefully remove the radiator from the car. Remove the cooling fan and shroud;

5. Replace with a new radiator, and follow the reverse steps to install the new radiator.

After the car radiator is replaced, we have to check the replaced radiator again, start the vehicle, and then check the heat dissipation after 2-3 hours. If the temperature is within the normal range, it means that the replaced Heat Sink can be used normally. If it still cannot dissipate heat normally, it should be sent to a professional auto repair organization for a comprehensive inspection.
